where i started
I grew up in a military family, which meant lots of moving and lots of starting over. I learned very early on how to walk into an unfamiliar room like I belonged there. It taught me adaptability, but more than that, it gave me a deep sense of empathy. I can connect with almost anyone.
I was a competitive dancer, a theatre kid, and a baby fashionista. I picked up a DSLR camera at 12 and never put it down. By the time I graduated high school, I’d started a YouTube channel and a side-hustle shooting family portraits.
I knew I wanted a creative career, so in college I studied strategic communication. I was involved in campus organizations where I worked on advertising campaigns, managed a team of social media content creators, and partnered with really cool brands to create social media content.
how i see
I am not one-dimensional, and your dreams aren’t either. I am obsessed with the way light, form, and color come together in art, clothing, interior design, or in the natural world. I’ve spent years sharpening my creative eye to recognize
and curate that beauty.
But visuals are nothing without a story. I care just as much about making sure something looks right as I do making sure it feels right. I love condensing complex ideas and intentionally pairing them with creative visuals to connect
people with their true audience.
what i believe
Sustainability is extremely important to me. That’s why in all of my sewing and styling projects, I primarily use secondhand and repurposed materials.
But secondhand doesn’t mean sacrificing quality. My standards are high, and I prioritize cohesion and longevity in systems, visuals, and messaging.
I don’t like to gatekeep. I aim to empower people to learn how to do what I do, in their own unique way.
what i’m building
I realized I was capable of more than I thought, and I know I’m not alone in that. So I created Real Yeux. A way to share my unique perspective with you, with the goal of creating a creative network that uplifts other unique perspectives and creative voices. The vision is big. It’s just the beginning.
